Bethesda and Arkane Studios have released a patch that removes the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. This has resulted in some higher performance numbers for Dishonored 2 that was plagued by quite a few performance issues on launch. If there were directly related to Denuvo is not certain, but highly suspected as many other titles have experienced similar updates and subsequent performance improvements.
Strangely enough, Prey is still using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech so we don’t know why Bethesda has removed it from some of its games and why it is still using it in other games. It is possible this is related to DLC content or expansion coming down the line, but that is blind speculation at best. Time will let if Prey will someday be free from the Denuvo yoke.
