Summary
More of the same, which means more of an enjoyable game. More options for gameplay and more options for your city – nothing really to complain about, but it also doesn’t push the envelope in any significant way.
More options. That’s what you are looking at. More control over roads, more control over traffic (though not as good as it could be) and more ability to tackle the hard to control areas of the game like traffic congestion in terms of road usage and so on. In essence, this DLC adds a layer of infrastructure management to transport that you need to use properly to get the best out of your city.
The newly added transport options are a bit of a mixed bag that while enjoyable and definitely great, don’t always function as I’d like. Especially the cable car is a major disappointment due to its limited turn radius and upkeep cost Vs. people throughput. I do really like the addition of a ferry & canals as they allow much more interesting and water-oriented gameplay than before.
So More is the name of the game. More gameplay options, more city building options, more objects and features and all that while maintaining a large chunk of mods. The only issue might be the price, but that’s a call you need to make yourself.
